about
Moretta Pedal Car is a children’s ride-on concept designed to teach through play. The car uses triangles, squares, circles, and repeated geometric details across the body to introduce young children to basic shape recognition. Different textures and finishes are placed throughout the design to stimulate touch, curiosity, and sensory exploration while the child interacts with the car.
The concept also considers the parent as a user. The triangular rear detail and exhaust elements are not only visual features, but also act as handles that make the pedal car easier for a parent to lift, move, or store.
The main play feature is a small fueling station. When the child “fuels” the car, air is pumped into a balloon inside the vehicle, causing the gas meter to rise. As the balloon slowly deflates, the meter drops again, creating the impression that the car is using fuel while being driven. Together with the horn and speedometer, the product introduces numbers, counting, cause and effect, and simple real-world concepts like fuel level and speed in a way that feels natural during play..
